What to wear in Phuket Old Town

Old Town means a lot of walking in the heat. Choose something light you can wear all day, with flat shoes. The buildings already have plenty of colour and pattern, so for photos a plain white, cream or brown outfit keeps things clean.

Walking all day

Long trousers or a playsuit are easy to walk in, with no skirt to worry about on kerbs and steps.

Photos with the colourful buildings

White, cream and brown suit almost every building colour. If you plan to visit a shrine, most of these show the shoulders, so keep your own wrap in your bag.

Corset looks for the evening

Once the sun drops, a corset look suits the area’s restaurants and bars. These are less airy than light fabrics, so they are better for the evening than midday.

This shop does not rent Baba Nyonya dress, kebaya or Thai traditional outfits. For that look, use a traditional dress shop in Old Town.

Photos come from the shop’s posts. Tap a piece for its sizes, daily price and dates.
